Counselling is a confidential, non-judgemental and professional service where individuals, couples or families looking for help with personal, life or work issues come to talk through their difficulties and challenges. As a result people are enabled to become more self-aware and to work towards making changes in their lives and relationships. The goal of counselling is to help people solve their problems and difficulties using their own personal strengths.

The sorts of issues people discuss in counselling include depression, anxiety, adjustment issues such as separation and divorce, relationship difficulties, stress management, grief and loss, parenting, adoption issues, sexual abuse and trauma.

Counselling appointments are made at times to suit you and although there may be a short waiting time for an appointment, urgent matters will be attended to as soon as possible. Fees are negotiated individually with each client. In certain circumstances counselling may attract a Medicare rebate if there is a referral made by your GP, with preparation of a mental health plan. These options will be discussed with you.

Employee Assistance Program Counselling and Critical Incident Debriefing

Employee Assistance Programs are designed to provide employees a confidential source of counselling for issues which may impact upon their performance at work or general well-being. Andrea is an accredited provider of EAP counselling for several health and community services organisations in the Goulburn Valley.

Employee Assistance Programs benefit both employers and employees. Employees get the benefits of counselling for themselves whilst employers get happier and less stressed employees who are more likely to feel that they can cope with work issues.

Andrea provides one to one individual counselling, is available to run group sessions, and debriefing sessions after trauma or critical incidents.
